Yesterday being Dad's birthday Mom and i went to the farmers market, we came home with.
30 pounds of tomatoes
1 bushel green beans - we PICKED them!!!
1 watermelon
1 cantaloupe
12 ears of sweet corn
All yummy!!!!!!.
For Dad's meal we had fresh corn, tomato sandwiches and homemade carrot cake.
The weather was perfect, 75 sunny with a light breeze. We sat on the porch reading, eating carrot cake and having a great cup of tea.
Other things that are happening are with the car and the cell phone, the car has lost all of it's lights. Brake, and headlights, called the Ford dealership in Clarion and no one wanted to even look at it, as you can imagine there are not a lot of places here in the country to choose from, one of our friends came over tested the fuses and came to the conclusion that it is the switch. We'll see how it goes, when the repair places want to check out the car they say leave it for a few day's. WHAT!! this is my only form of transportation!!. Now on to the cell phone, it will not take and hold a charge. It is either the battery, phone or the charger, that's pretty narrowed down. But we did get Mom's hearing aid fixed and the driveway is scheduled to be sealed in a few weeks. All in all, having a great day. Wishing everyone who reads this blog the same.
