Crocheting for the troops

There is a family owned chain of craft store's in the area that is doing a promotion for the troops over sea's, crochet or knit a scarf for a troop. They made a special blend of yarn so it is a brown camo pattern when you are done, the store was also gracious in giving the yarn to anyone who will make the scarves. The uso will deliver them to the troops, Mom and i have 6 to make, we need to be done by Sept. 30th. So time is of the essence, we are crocheting fools at night. It is nice to be able to do something for the brave men and women who are serving our country. In addition to the scarves we are also working on stocking's for the troops, my wonderful aunt told me of this program and mom and i wanted to get involved. You make the stocking for a solider overseas, send it to an organization and they stuff it with all kinds of goodies and then send them to all the troops for christmas. It's great how thing's work like that, my aunt tells us and we get involved, i told some ladies and they wanted to join in and give it to ladies in there church group. Way to go ladies.
